Evening all!
I've just invested in an Oxford Maximiser (Knock-off Optimate), as I'd like to keep the battery in tip-top condition. One problem though, I can't keep the battery on charge overnight while it's in the bike because the bike is kept outside and it's not viable to get power to it.

What I'm hoping to do is find some easy way to bring the battery into the house to charge without having to unscrew the terminals every time. I'm looking for a weatherproof DC connector rated higher than 30 amps at the moment but was wondering if anyone's seen or heard of any battery terminal connectors that clip on and off securely *but easily!*

Ta!
Mike.

Aha! What a legend, they look perfick! I'll probably give them a shot unless anyone comes up with another idea.

Cheers,
Mike.

If you want to keep you battery in tip top condition then i would take you Oxford Maximizer back to the shop where you bought and exchange it for an Optimate IV or CTEK36

also you need a set of quick release seat pins that awfully nice chap redratbike sells:devious

I totally agree. I've read a few things about the Maximiser being a bag of *****, but it's all the shop had (does anyone know of any other bike shops in Sheffield apart from SMC?!). That said, I've read quite a few good things about the Maximiser too :dunno

It appears to be doing the trick right now so I'll plod on with that. But if it ever gives me any gyp, answers back, or even winks at an inline-4, it'll be going straight on eBay to fund an Optimate.

Ta for your input!
Mike.

PS: I was looking at those quick release pins the other day. Very tasty and a bargain too. I'm going to make my own though, because I like getting my hands dirty.
