Guys got a quick question about tyre wear
i had dunplops sportmax qualifiers rr and 2 prominent lines have appeared on the rear tyre i've added photos and marked with arrows to try to show them, but the picture isn't too good. they are perfectly opposite in the same place completely all the way round the tyre
also i had another big moment yesterday on a left hander, wondered if this was a sign of them coming apart
wondered if its connected....

should i take this to dealer and demand a change or is this normal?
anyone else experienced it???

Surely that's just the start/finish of the different compounds?

Doubt it's anything to worry about but if they are newish I'd be back down the shop like a shot.

Looks like a black marker pen lines to me:dunno

Seriously, it is just the compound lines showing, the 2cts do it as well, nothing to sweat about:thumbup

ok cheers guys

just for your info - don't like them anyhow, don't inspire confidence going back to racetecs i reckon or somet else

alright bud id say its just where the different compounds start and finish have the same on my corsa 3`s

i know

couple of yrs ago came off on 208rrs - low sided
these were a good deal and dealer said they were awesome

wont be listening to him again

so what should it be

Metzeler M3
Metzeler racetecs
Pirelli Diablo Supercorsas
Bridgstones Bt21
Pilot Powers 2ct

Supercorsa 3`s for me dude 2 weeks into them and im just about getting my knee down and im for sure a proper novice and personally a great achievment for me all thanks to the super corsa 3`s

is that the same as the diablo super corsas then?

They're just called Pirelli Diablo III (dual compound, left, centre, right = III) not the same tread pattern as the Supercorsa. The supercorsa's don't run a tread right to the edge. (The SuperCorsa's are still a single compound DOT race tyre). They're Dragon Supercorsa Pro.

tbh mate,i think theyre the earlier ones, rennsports i think, but theyre un used.
had on a few of my R1's and they were brill, and for that price, theyll deffo do me!
i usualy have race scrubs off my mate who races at darley dale ect,but he ant got any but the metzlers are next day delivery so soon as im ready,he,ll stick em on.
i know theyll not be the latest dual compound ect but theyre sticky as fook.

my off last yr was on cold racetecs in damp conditions
these dunplops have had a few slides so my confidence keeps getting knocked

i'm torn between a street tyre and a fast street/track tyre

i commute very day so it needs to last and it needs to be sticky on edges as i'm in favour of twisties and like tipping in, rather than banzi straights

i had rennsports on in cyprus superb tyre but a little old i think now

what have you heard about the Bridgestone BT-016 or 021's?

i know i can pick up racetecs for 50 quid but theyre only really supposed to be heat cycled once and are less effective post that

decision decisions

to be honest i want soemthing to bring my confidence back, last ime it was racetecs after an off on R6 a few yrs ago, so i'm thinking of relying on them again

Whatever you do don't get the Super Corsa Pro's for the road.

Loadsa grip in the dry but if the wet stuff hits the tarmac it's pull over and push home time.

As soon as I have the money mine are going in the bin. (They're pretty bald as well)

Well i've just got the diablo supercorsa's on mine and what a tyre wish i'd got them years ago had 2 sets of metzeler sportec M3's before them and they are a fantastic tyre as for the rain yes the supercorsa's are not going to be very good but take it easy and you won't have many problems the M3's are a very good tyre in the wet and you should get 2500-3000 miles from the rear but when i can get the supercorsa's at £110 for 1 front and 2 rears part worn tyres i can't go wrong and they are so much fun
The way i look at it is,that a set of M3's 1 front and 2 rears are going to cost me £340-350 fitted thats about 5000 miles and the 2 sets of the supercorsa's are going to cost me £300 fitted and do the same amount of miles if not a bit more and much more fun factor

i've psoted before that i inherited conti sport attacks as they came with the bike - at first they were really poor and my confidence in them was very low:rant:rant -sorted suspension settings and lowered forks through yokes (to where they should have been) plus my head and now they've improved a lot but wont be buying them again

sharky where are you getting your part worn supercorsa's from - trackday tyres off ebay??:confused
