problem with clutch

I am having to haul the clutch lever all the way in to dis-engage the clutch

I adjusted it ... but it still aint right

There is "resistance" ... but its as though there isnt enough pressure to break the drive

Fluid level ok

Remember I did fit a new lever a few weeks ago after my tippage ...

Does something need a bleed? if so, what and how? :eh

Frightened to ask this next bit ... but wtf does the micro-switch on the clutch lever do? :whatsthat

Go on then ... kick **** out of me for being a fud ...

The clutch will probably need bleeding, i'm not shure but i think the clutch slave cylinder is on the left side of the motor just to the right of the plastics, you should find the clutch bleed nipple there, i can't be shure as i can't take a look at my bike at the moment, it's all tucked away for the night, as for the micro-switch, it's there to stop the engine cranking over when the bike is in gear, if the bike is in gear you won't be able to crank it over unless you put it in neutral or pull the clutch in.

Well in a moment of "I wonder what that is"

1) I took the rubber cap off the bleed nipple
2) Slackened it off ... carefully pumped the clutch lever until fluid came out
3) re-tightened

Now I have no clutch at all.

Clearly it's a problem with air somewhere. At a guess I would think one is sposed to hook up a squeezy of fluid to the nipple, slacken it and reverse bleed it to the reservoir but I am so pissed off at having missed the best day of the year that I am just going to sulk and wait for a body who knows wtf I am supposed to do to come along like a knight in leather armour and rescue my ***!

Are you that knight?

Myth and that prick who keeps posting stuff about Gantt charts are exempt and may go about their normal business of annoying folks

Have i stumbled onto some weird forum here or wot ?

if 7 is the best you can manage ... please step aside

My knight must be ....

Damn!!!

Did I say that out loud?

Drinking £3.99 Australian red on a school night clearly skews my brain.

2 x more glasses and I will cuss at Mrs Welly and kick the cat

As my cat died last year, I will need to do some digging ... but she can have it anyway.

Has anybody else felt "odd" since reading Joifs Gantt chart thread a thousand times?

You wound the pin out a tad yet Newely lad ???

No Nob I haven't

I'm not going to be able to get at it now untilWeds as I'm away on a busyness trip to ... Rotherham!

The pin clearly hasn't moved since I fitted the replacement lever ... and the clutch was ok up until yesterday.

It is a deeply perplexing thing and "yes" I know about the teeny grub screw cos Griff Meister warned me about it's hidden presence.

Hold it over a flame (I used a camping stove) til it's good and hot and melts the threadlock, teeny tiny screwdriver and job's a good'un.

I got the T through the kitchen door and Mrs Welly in her 4 X 4 invalidity scuttler managed to help me get it up onto the hob ... but guess what?

Now we can't find any matches

Clearly you were never a boy scout: Aways Prepared.

Just watch the tyres, wrapping them in foil should do the job.
