Problem - Bike Performance - No Support

Hi All,

I am from Borneo - Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia and new to the Forum. I've purchased my Red Caponord ABS from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in January 2015.

Have been riding the bike for the last 18 months for regular daily ride to office 5 days a week and distance of 80 kms per trip, also for a tour ride to Sabah 1200kms and Kuching 1600kms, i say the bike is perfect and comfortable for our type of road condition.

My problem came when it started to have light indicator on the ABS and ATC panel. My bike performance getting poor, no ABS, no ATC, bike became noisy, no more smooth ride and the fuel consumption is high. Been resetting the problem according to the manual but nothing happening. Worst now the km's speed indicator come and go.

I can't check or diagnose with the dealer because the distance from Miri to Kuala Lumpur is approx 3000kms and have to send it via flight as it is crossing the sea. Informed the dealer of the problem, no reply and in other word no support at all. The dealer promised to provide the support from the nearest dealer (in Kuching, Sarawak, distance approx 800kms from Miri) when i first bought the bike but until now no news at all. When i've contacted the Kuching dealer they said they don't have the Aprilia Diagnose / tuning system in their shop.

If anybody been facing the similar problem on ABS and ATC, appreciate if you could give me some advice.

Thanks,

Mazlan Bolhi

Sorry to read of your problems Mazlan. I cannot help as I have never experienced any problems with my Red TP.

I hope you can organise it so your Capo can be hooked up to PADS and diagnosed asap.

I wonder if a local mechanic might have some influence with the far away dealers (though they most likely have no training on complex systems like Caponord's....).

Wishing your Capo a speedy recovery..;)

Ps try looking at the 014-016 AF1 sponsored forum......it has lots of posts and might help.......but you are stuffed without the Aprilia system.....

Thank you very much BribaNord for yr email.

Indeed i have to diagnosed it ASAP. Still sorting it out now of either sending my bike to KL or try getting the dealer mechanic down here, which ever is cheaper.

Thanks for yr recommendation on the other forum.
