I remember driving around with dad in a '69 Galaxie 500 with a 460 police interceptor in it. Dad wouldn't gas the old gal up unless it was for less than 50c a gallon (Imperial here in Canada). Those were the days...

Yeah, those were the days mate.

My first real car (in 1978) was a 5.8 litre 1972 Ford GT Falcon. Petrol was around 7 cents a litre then.

Grandma had a '68 Falcon with a 289 cid in it. I really wanted it but it was sold before I was of age to drive. Gran had a 72 Doge Demon with a 360 in it and four on the floor. She bought it because she could wear her hat in it. Again, sold without my consent. Dammit.

Infact the local knob has just raised it to Â£108.9p a lt.................... crap. Can't wait to get back to US or Canada and drive everywhere on fluck all. Toronto or Orlando see you next year.
