cheers Ck
PS-where in lincolnshire are you?

thanks, have a ti pipe and just got air box so reckon commander is next logical route, sent you a pm on where abouts. Where is our nearest Aprilia dealer was looking at the Jet40 and need some bolts for my heel plates.

Wouldn't bother with that one, its a PC3 serial version and not the USB. You can get a new PC3 USB from the USA for £150 new.

Many dealers don't map the serial versions any more and they can not map as well (500 rpm vs. 250 rpm intervals), save your money. Early bikes don't really release that much power compared to the '00 - '03 bikes due to smaller valves etc.

Probably your best bet...

Do you have the chip to match your can, assuming its the Aprilia Ti can? The Aprilia Titanium chip is one of the best for the early bikes and gives good figures and rideability...

what do you think of this? Is it worth buying second hand or new?

Thanks

sorry forgot to say its for my 2000 mille

Hi Supertedlover,

I've got a 2000 mille had the Aprilia Ti can Chip combination, it gave 111bhp at the rear wheel. I then fitted a Serial PC111, Shark shotgun can, Arrow 2 into1 headers and Evo airbox. With these fitted it went up to 119bhp so gave a nice power increase.

The PC111 didn't really give any extra top end power but the guys who tweaked it in gave it loads of bottom end and mid range grunt and made it much more rideable so I think the money spent on the PC111 and tweaking it (about £100 for PC111 off ebay and £100 for dyno) was well worth the cash.

If you do go for it try Sam at BDK near Norwich (not too far from Lincolnshire) tel:01508 481713 or ask Carbon Kid who set his PC111 up in Lincolnshire.

I've now fitted a CER engine and PC111 USB as I want to buy a quickshifter so if you want the Arrow 2 into 1 headers and Serial PC111 then PM me and I'll do you a good price.

Cheers
Chris

Again, I really wouldn't bother with the PC3.

My '98 bike made around 117BHP on a Fuchs dyno with a race can, Rene air kit and the Aprilia Ti chip.
Fitting the PC3 only gave a small increase and on the advice of the tuner, a well renowned Aprilia dealer and tuner, it was removed and sold on fleaBay.

Your money, your choice though........
