Hi all

I have carbon Akrapovics with the Aprilia remap on my bike. Is it worth getting a Power Commander fitted or not? Also, if I get a PC, is it worth getting a custom map, or just go for one of the standard ones?

is it a full race system or std akra twin set up with removable baffles?, have you modded the airbox or anything else yet?
If you fit a PC111, a custom map is deffo recommended, they can really come into their own then and you can even mess about with 'open chips'(see Ducati-kaemna.com) and get big power increases.(if thats what yer after) in my experience I got better low rev-low gear response withmore urgency all over the range and a few ponies on top.
But only worth while really once you start tunning her with lots gofaster bits!... unles you think the fueling at the mo is jerky, or you can feel dips in the powwer at certain revs and you are not happy with it
cheers CK

Thanks - sorry , should have said. These are cans only, with baffles removed (of course!). I have only just finished running the engine in so early to say what I think about the current fuelling. Early observations are some jerkiness down the bottom end. Can't complain about the mid range though after having come from a 600cc R6!
