Power Commander III USB for 99p!

:nana i won the bid :nana

seriously though with minutes left my internet went to hell in a handbasket, got it back with under 1 minute to bid like crazy and now paypal is screwing up hahaha

still way more excited than i probably should be :biggrin

i am indeed :D looking forward to having a play with it and expecting to see a good difference (running an open airbox mod with stock exhaust cans lol.. can we say lean..) heard good stuff about smoothing things out at lower speeds to

incase anyone can clarify.. is it true you need to get the bike 'unlocked' to map 2 (race mode) before fitting power commander?? i know mine is still on map 1 or whatever teh default is that auto adjusts somewhat

Yeah you wanna get that sorted, running a bike too lean makes the engine run very hot, can even burn you valve edges over time. Although I hear these run quite rich as standard which may give you some le-way.

Why the hell are you running stock cans on a big V-twin!?? think there`s a law against that!

Sorry cant comment on the wire cutting bit, I`m new to all this RSV stuff meself!

the wire cutting thing was only for pre 04 models ;) to change maps on newer models you need an axione special computer thingy that is stupid money, so its typically a dealer visit job.. and they like to charge like £60 or somethin last i checked

as for the cans, its a crime i know >_< wish i could afford nice cans but every time i get enough money it has to be spent on more urgent things lol, for a plus side, the stock ones are so old now they are actually gettin pretty damn loud :D

i do know for a fact that whatever map/mode the bike is currently on has at least a semi self adjustment to the mixture, as it runs like absolute crap after adding the airbox lid (or after taking it back off) until its been ridden about 20 miles then it smooths out again, really looking forward to spending some time making my own custom map for the bike so it runs perfect ;)

Thats handy about the self adjustment at least. Still a V2 without loud cans is like a glamour model without ****s!

:banana its here its here :banana

cant wait to fit it lol no instructions for the o2 controller thingy though guess i will plug n play it somehow :devious

thanks mark, extremely well packaged and got here pretty quickly to :biggrin

Just a touch. I cant even afford to change my front sprocket at the MO! Just feeding the thing is pushing the boat out! lol

Hope you put it on backwards and upside down!!! LOL, I just fitted my new rengade open airbox jobby! it sounds great and pulls like a train. PC3 coming next, (after some new boots though)

oo so the open airbox made a big difference to performance?? how is the sound different? please explain. ( iwanna try imagine it, until I can afford it you see...)

And wolf - like he said, backwards and upside down damn you!!

It makes a massive differance. I am running a GP pipe and the airbox. Prior to the box it ticked over at 1250 with K&N. fittted the box and it went up to 1500 so had to knock it down abit. when you open the throttle you just hear a big sucking....... the pipe is load anyway (no baffle) now it just roars and when the throttle goes off it gurgles like mad. The throttle response is much better. it surges round the clock. It gives me a hard on!!!! i love it. Cant wait for the PC3. new racetecs going on on saturday.... living the dream.... nurburgring next year for me.

steve, i made myself a open airbox for about £12 with foam tape, seal is 100% perfect and it sounds fooking epic.. after the ECU figured out the fuelling it drives pretty well to

rsvstupid, if you wanna hear her sing nice go for a ride and cruise along at about 30 or so in a high gear with the revs around 3000 then crack the throttle open good (your not sposed to be doing a wheelie :p) it gulps air like crazy until it gets the revs up high

intake noise is beautiful.. now i just need some cans ;)

LOL, how do you NOT pulll a wheelie doing it??? Had the girlfriend on earlier coming up to an amber light, she let go thinking i was going to stop, i opened up a LITTLE her legs went north to my arm pits and head went back so maybe i shall do this without her.....LOL LOL...or maybe...................................hmmmm

ROFL yeah having pillion makes wheelies insanely easy, the point is just to have it in way too high a gear for the speed you are cruising along then whack the throttle wide open, for a couple of seconds it gulps air like you wouldnt believe while the revs catch up

oh its possible that i can only do it since i removed the flapper thingy and smoothed out the whole intake (something about restricting the airflow under 3500rpm or so to comply with noise regs...) though i forget if the older models have one or not
