My 1100rr just ticked over 4500 ks last weekend and the rear is pretty much done. I am hoping to get one more ride in this weekend before i drop it in for a new rear (the front looks great still) and front brake recall work. They look expensive too.

Front brake recall??? Really, I hadn't heard anything.

1,400 miles and 600 of that was running new bike in.

I expect your front tyre still looks new! :thumbup :whoop

Seriously, interesting thread. Goes to show how a judicial amount of throttle leaving most bends and junctions, can reduce tyre milage by 50% and more! Similarly, throw in a few longer trips for most riders, and miles per tyre usually increases accordingly.

My front tyre is well off on the sides, but it will last till next rear tyre change. Plenty of fast roads roads and bends up here in north east U.K.
