Pillion help?

Went for the first long ride with the little **** on the back today. She was a pretty good pilion on the R1 but struggles abit on this as its a long reach to the tank to stablise herself. Was thinking about getting her some wonder web type stuff for her seat, this stuff any good?

Any other suggestions? She has trouble stablising herself in the corners too once the bike is leaning over.

On another note, the first time i`v brimmed the tank and got 115miles until the light started to blink on, and did over 140 before filling up. Very moderate pace obviously, but still chuffed with that :thumbup

Get some Motrax Wonderweb, cut to fit and get the wife ( lol!!! ) to sew some elastic around the underside of it. Bargain Triboseat is the result. Makes a huge difference to carrying a pillion.

I also fitted a grab rail to mine for when the missus wanted to go for a run, pic from years back before we headed off on a North of Scotland tour :-

Best thing i have come across is a pillion pal belt thingy that has handles on it that she can hold onto when accelerating and use to brace against when braking, it goes around your waist and you never know it is there, i wear it in conjunction with my rev limiter body protector:thumbup

Grabrails are painfull for them to hold onto as you are twisting your arms to hold onto it, also her balance is to far back when using a grabrail and more prone to wanting to slide back.

Tried them both and the belt wins easily

Is called love handles. Saw them at George Whites, in teh outlet bit, so they shouldn't be expensive :)

Right had a look though, and reckon I`ll do both the webbed seat jobby and the love handles/pillion pal, some good deals on ebay, so we`ll try that ;)

Nice one.
Thanks for the input ;)

the pillion pal is also useful in the bedroom for those 'bareback' riding techniques lol

Its not listed in the description??? :dowhat

There seems to be quite a lot of discrepancy between the various photos of apparently the same make of product. (People ripping the wrong pics of google image more than likely)

She not too keen on having her hands right at my sides as she`ll feel abit out in space. And alot of them look like the handles have alot of slack to take up between brake and pinning it, which cant feel to secure??

So anyway think we are gonna plump for this one.

A bit pricier but we like the way the handle are close together, I can wear them at my front, that she knows in the unlikely event they sanp her hands are infront of me, not flaing at nothing in the air!

Found the triboseat, but it seems abit odd that the webbing doesnt lip over the front of the seat...
My lil **** only has a little tush, and usually sits right on the front edge, so she`s only be using like 3inches of the web... contacted them and they assured me its far enough forward to be effective so..

Oh and CK , Badger...yes I am aware I used words and phrases such as "tush" "shes only using so many inches" and "where she likes to put her hands etc"

Please feel free to use this as a sexual aid :thumbup :biggrin

Wouldn't want to lower the tone mate.

The pillion pal i have does not have handles of plastic as such but loops of the same webbing the belt is made from, so it is tight to my body (no innuendos now please), it works brilliantly under acceleration and braking, does not stop her punching me in the ribs when the front starts pointing skywards:devious

the one i have was one of the first pillion pals when they appeared on the market, would not know where to look mate, just do some surfing and look to see if they still do one with fabric loops instead of handles.

Ah so you actually think just the webbing handles is better then?

Hmmmmmmmmm
Wel I have seen tose ones really cheap, maybe I`ll try them first, blame you when she hates em, then buys the proper ones.

Ha just kidding, cheers mate, we`ll give them a bash ;)
