Can i use this insted of the 648?

RolBer, i would contact af1 and just ask them if it's any good for the sprag application. What they sent is a threadlocker (albeit and good one after looking it up) but the 648 is a retainer. They might have found it to be perfectly safe to use for the sprag, but for piece of mind I think i'd want to know for sure :dunno

Yeah..i'm have not any experience with this brand. Have mailed permatex and asked them also, gonna do this to af1 also to check if they use it as a retainer. Damn, now i have to wait until next week to get the bike done. Pretty strange cause af1 always use to mail me if they have a replacment part that is of another brand or similar then the one i ordered and ask me if i rather will have that.

The damn locktite cost over £40 here, and i only need a few drops.

Thanks, gonna ask him if he still got it.

Got a mail from Permatex. It is not a replacment for 648 and should not be used as a retainer.
But this is the retainer that is similar to locktite.

Stupid af1, are they ********. I asked for 648 and they send me this ****.

I wonder how many others have used it after they've been sent that by af1 and not questioned it  You were right to question it fella :thumbup

Yeah. They can kill someone if they send wrong items. Going 100mph down the road and the engine starts to fall apart and lock the rear tire.

The Permatex Retainer cost under £6 at Amazon.com, so anyone doing the sprag do not have to spend so mutch on the Locktite 648.
