Im still working on this,but its work in progress,as i have had a lot of interest in making a generation 2 kit ,and i have an 02 generation 1 mille r.I have had to buy a 04 onwards complete air box to start making moulds from as a reff point
I am now expecting delivery of the air box by the end of this week ie
27th Feb :doug,and will then be in a better position to quote expected finished designs and approx delivery dates of the new High air flow Performance open air filter kits for the generation 2 ( 04 onwards ) new shape RSV.irate

Below i have copied members who have expressed interest in this kit
anyone wishing to be added to this list,there is no need to PM me i will keep checking this thread Just add your request of interest.I am expecting prices to stay approx the same Maybe £5to £10 depending on your choice of material ,than the generation 1 kits.And will confirm prices for this kit on this thread.

To give you all an insight into my progress i have attached a couple of prototype picture of the base plate,this is a prototype plate but gives you an idea,like most production proses Ive been driven by the continued disagrement between open and sealed air box design so i have been developing 2 different kits for the Generation 2( 04 onwards ) models, i thought that this would be a good idea to offer the 2 alternative kits from the start rather than develop a sealed High air flow Performance air filter kit and then possible upset anyone that had bought a open High air flow Performance open air filter kits but would have preferred a sealed.

So choices / choices you guys will now have to choice from the start weather to have an open or sealed Performance air filter kit. Or weather to have both as the only difference will be the the plate and seal that isn't shown in the picture below your get the same Piper cross filter for both plates they will all now be secured via top fasting rivet nuts,also the same crack filter will be used and breather hose. So you could buy both plates and interchange filters & make your own mind up. :devious

In the below pictures you will see the Large return flange around the outer edge of the base plate but not the capping peace,to this will be added a seal so when the tank is lowered will create a seal around the outer edge and create a sealed system to give the guys that what it a partial pressured ram air effect

Now the open design will be the same shape plate more pictures to follow but obviously without the return flange and capping seal.

As soon as possible i will update this thread and give some more pictures and also pricing for both kits and in all materials

Fitting all this in between work getting out for a blast and the original 1998-2003 kits has been hectic but all good things are never rushed :devious
