to be honest mate 'redratbike' on here does modded headers for £130 exchange, dont think thats breaking the bank, esp when you think about the gains, and much cheaper than twin pipes... but def agree oz wheels or olins stuff would be....infact my next mod :D

Yes, I know about redratbike's headers but then I'd have to get the pc3 remapped and that's another £200 so now your looking at nearly £350 ... no way I'd sneak that past the finance director ;)

If you are going the whole hog (complete ohlins and oz) is it not easier just to get a nice rsvr?

Rob :)

ye exactly, i love the gold trick bits, but for the money they are I doubt very much id notice any difference normal day to day road riding....and my finance director (Mrs Bees) would kick my *** buying something for at least £1500 because their gold :p and also its the insurance issue, (rvs grp 14 rsvr grp 17) would be a reason not to buy a rsvr :D

I think my rsv costs as much to insure as an rsvr anyway. They really sting me for the mods I have. They especially do not like the airbox/exhaust/pc3 and chip mods but they also sting me for the modified rear suspension and steering damper which are rsvr parts. A lot of insurers are not interested at all because of the number and type of mods and that means less choice of insurer for me and (generally) a less competitive (higher) premium. :(

I think if I get rid of mine I might get a higher spec model and then I won't have all this hassle.

Rob matey, I wouldnt have bothered telling them about the 'invisible mods' like the airbox, chip etc, mebbe the can. you are too honest!! lol

You are right matey. 'honest' is my middle name or is it 'f**kin stupid'? lol

It costs me even more because I told them I visit customer sites so I need cover for 'class 1 business use' rather than regular 'sdp and commuting' cover.

But now I've told them, and paid the wedge, I know they'll struggle to wriggle out of anything if it comes to a claim.

Even so my bike costs me less than half what my car costs to insure. My car is not modified and nothing special.

When I was young I used to think that when I was older insurance would be cheap! Is it f**k! I don't think I've ever paid more and don't get me started on house insurance! Robbing b*stards ;)

Rob :)
