If any of you guys are considering getting one of these, take it from me they are absolutely bang on :thumbup all holes matched up perfectly and fitted piss easy. Mine is the pre-preg one and the finish is great . I can only imagine how good the polished carbon looks like, but it must surely be as good as a genuine Renegade does.

Not been out on the bike yet as it's chucking it down, and i need an MOT first :biggrin so can't comment on it's performance out on the road.

10/10 :thumbup

Pukka piccies Sprocker me old mate, even Tim (Areessmill) will be able to follow that one. LOL

That looks like one well put together kit, well done Hooked for helping out all the forum guys.

Can't wait for mine to arrive - Whoooo Hoooooo!!!!

You are the man, Sprocker....(well okay after Hooked!). Those photo's will greatly assist Mr butterfingers (me) in attempting to fit mine....ONLY problem is, I'm guessing as the wife's gone out for the day & the outlaws are away too (live over the road)...Mine will be sitting in the post office, so won't get to fiddle until tomorrow....ah well at least I'm off work then, so can have a relaxed go at it...Cheers!

oooeerrr i`m startin to get a bit giddy now ,that looks top quality mines a

carbon one due in next batch :doug

Well......Very surprised...the airkit was sitting on my settee when I got in...Top quality (bearing in mind I bought the 'budget' version)....looking forward to fitting it tomorrow!

Forgot to mention, i used loctite threadlock on the trumpet screws as i didn't want to overtighten on the fibreglass :thumbup

Hey Sprock!!

Have the same unit due here in OZ next week I guess, cant wait :thumbup

Quick question for you, the Pipercross filter, is that the type of filter that needs to be washed and oiled like a motox filter??????????:dunno:dunno

Not sure if it needs that maintenance, did you oil yours or anything???

Cheers Pete

PS: TELL US WHAT ITS LIKE, THE NOISE :devious

Great post Sprocker. Check your PM's for a ride out.

Oz, if its anything like the K&N air filters they come pre oiled for first use. Then when u wash them down u re oil them.

I never oiled it, but looking at the instructions that came with the filter thats what you do after cleaning it etc.

Here's a sound clip, but then with it just being in the shed you wont get the full effect :biggrin that'll be when i'm out on the road giving it some rev abuse :pirate

Very Nice Sprock

Should be more than great with a little air getting into the KIT :devious

I am guessing it was pre-oiled then, how long are the intervals at which we must clean and oil, and does it tell you the type of oil to use.

Cheers Pete

Fitted my kit today too....was an interesting experience....and yes, I did manage to drop one of the fasteners into the fairing, so had take the bugger off to retrieve! Anyway...had half an hour of sunshine & dry roads this afternoon....Wow! The bike certainly feels much more urgent in the mid range, however, nobody told me I was also installing an amplifier and bass bin below my tank....Blimey that induction roar is pretty full on...I can't hear my exhaust anymore!...Anyway, well pleased with the kit & look forward to exploiting it and the bike as the weather improves...Cheers Hooked nice one!
