Perfect day....

So the weather here in Tampa has finally gotten in the mid-70's (f) and I'm getting the bug to go for a ride during lunch (lucky that I work from home). It was one of those absolutely perfect rides; temperature perfect, little to no traffic and the T is just settling perfect into the turns (took some much faster than I ever have and it was just sticking like it was on a rail). Before I knew it, 90 minutes had passed and I had to tear *** back home to get back to work. Damn, it was like *** on 2 wheels, wish it would never end. I get plenty of opportunity to get out and ride, but this was one of those days that sets the riding hook deeper. I had the chance to talk with a guy at work and tried to explain it to him and he said that I was nuts. Figured that I'd post it here where someone might understand....

Thanks for that. :cheers You can't imagine how miserable that makes me feel over here in freezin' Blighty.

I went for a similar ride yesterday - swerved around the potholes, missed slipping on the ice (formed by the water coming out of the potholes), avoided speed cameras, got back after 1hr on the edge of hypothermia. Couldn't take my helmet off for several mins as no feeling in ends of fingers. Sun was shining though!

Spring??

hahaha my thoughts exactly ...
sounds like u hit the same ****** roads as i did .
the roads are absolute mayhem .... and if they aint sorted , my bike wont be leavin the garage all summer

Sorry, no hills here unless you call a speed bump a hill. Have to take a weekender up to Georgia/Tennessee for hills. Don't think that I'll do the Dragon this year, maybe another run that some call the Viper. The Dragon has gotten too popular with everyone including the cops. Could make one pass through maybe mid-week, but forget staying and riding there over the weekend. This past summer I visited and just about every run got behind some fat *** on a H Ultra or Road King. WTF, take them out out on the slab where they are meant to be, not on the twisties doing 10 mph around a corner that I can take on the T doing 50 mph. Just pissed me off royally, screwed up the entire trip for me. On the open road while on the dragon, I'll chance a speeding ticket and write it off as a premium for having some fun.

Go for it mate , every second on the T is a bonus. I went out yesterday to buy gloves,

£154 (f*****G hell I nearly choked) down to £45.

I`ll use the ones I have, nice soft, cosy gortex army issue ones. I got a new Leather Jkt and thought the gauntlet gloves would be better. I still had a struggle to get them on.
The ride ( a few miles) was exhilerating , a bit nippy but OK
