PCIII on a 2007 Tuono R

Chaps,

I am about to buy a 2007 Tuono R which has Arrow carbon cans and it also has a PCIII with a bespoke map.

I was speaking with an Aprilia dealer today who said that power commanders are the route of all problems on Tuono's and RSV's and it is better to have them map the bike to the arrow cans.

I've had Japanese bikes with power commanders fitted before and the bikes have benefitted from a PC considerably.

My question is, was the dealers telling the truth or was it a ploy for me to spend some money

Have a pcIII on my 06 with no issues . 3 custom maps (standard zorst / akros with baffle / akros no baffle)

Only issue i have is the bike starts up from cold in map2 ... ticks over fine but if i dont let it warm up and switch to the pcIII it coughs and splutters or dies on me .

It restarts np and as soon as i see 60 on the display i can ride away with no issues but if i just start it and ride away it runs like a dog till the maps switch .

Seems jucier with the pcIII but dont have a bike for fuel economy
