pc3 problem

Just bought a pc3 and fitted it. standard map downloaded as bike is standard. o2 eliminator also fitted.
Bike seemed to run great for 15 mins then FI light came on and bike spluttered to a halt. started up again and bike stopped again as soon as I pulled away.
Have I bought a dodgy power commander? do they overheat? or could it be something else?
Disconnected it for now and bike running fine.

I've not had any problems with mine. Generally I believe they either work or don't work. Have you tried a different map? Are all the connections sound?

I've not seen much chat on forums about dodgy power commanders or issues with overheating.

My pc iii has been fine since fitting to track bike but it did take a couple of goes with different maps to get things sorted as imt did cough and splutter when I first ran a map that wasn't right, I will make a custom map one day but happy with a pre set one at the moment. Try some other maps, I doubt the PC is duff.

Good for u.

I'm going to try and create a custom map this weekend to suit me and the bike, I have a mate that is simply genius with bike set up understanding etc.. Yet he doesn't use his knowledge enough nor does he spurt on about it, useful friend.

Good. Pleased to hear it. Do you think it was the tps connection, it's probably the weakest point?

Not sure. I soldered it to be sure but I also reversed the wires left to right and vice versa.
Anyway glad it's sorted and thanks again
