Hello from Afghanistan! I'm originally from the US, but as the name states, I'm in the military. I miss my bike and have debated on selling it, but it's way too fun. I've got an 03 RSV and am looking for insight on the best place to get new fairings all the way around (best pricing really) and how to finally solve the issue w/ the rear m/c, brake. Please help me out. I've looked up all the older post and as the title says, i'm overwhelmed.
Just a heads up, use dot 4, have replaced the m/c before w/ the larger bore, before I left for my deployment the rear caliper ceased up while I was doing 70 mph on the highway, have bled it from both sides w/ only attaining a maximum of 150 miles before brake just stops working. Heard of a German company that makes a fix for it that is kind of pricey, but no feedback. Does switching to a nissan work better? Sorry for the ongoing rant, but I've been away from my bike for a while and have had lots of time to think about exactly what I want fixed before I get home.

Hi there , hope all is going ok for you and your buddies over there.

I am sure someone will be along in a minute with the precise details. But there is a solution for sure!

The rear brake should not cease up if there is some slack in the piston rod from the lever to the master cylinder. Lots use after market rear sets to move the master cylinder and reservoir away from the engine to avoid fade - see http://apriliarsv.com/aprilia-rsvr/19528-rear-brake.html or search the forum on "rear brake".

For fairings you try the Jester kit - looks immense!
