Overheating and oil not showing

Hi all,

I have a 2004 rsv 1000 r and the temp reads 135oC in a matter of minutes from riding. Have checked the fuses and they're all good. Any ideas?

Also I changed the oil and filter but the oil is showing in the level indicator tube. Have put almost 4 litres of oil in and still nothing. Any ideas?

Are the fans cutting in?.

Have you topped up the coolant inc antifreeze

Sounds like there isn't anything in there...do not ride it till sorted you'll fry the engine

As for the oil you need to ride it for 20 odd minutes till it's all warmed up and check it on level ground

Yeah the fans cut it at around 97oC, coolant including anti freeze is topped up.

Oil is showing now, all good.
