Howdo boyos,

Since buying my new bike, I took it out for a couple of spins, there seems to be a bit of a problem:dunno. It starts fine from cold and drops down off the automatic choke after a few minutes, and then goes ok, but if I stop and restart the bike, it starts to over rev (about 3000rpm) and will not drop back down.

I had it in for a service at a local bike chappie, and he seems to think its the ecu is holding some sort of fault in the memory, have any of you guys got any ideal?

Any suggestions would be greatly received.

cheers andy.:pisser2:

I had something like that took it in and they adjusted the tightness of the throttle...... :dunnosomething so simple but that was the solution:confused

Does it have a Datatool alarm fitted?

If it does, chances are they have connected the immobiliser circuit incorrectly. Well known fault.....

I had a similar problem with mine a few weeks back, after many hours searching I found that it could be a datatool issue. The fix was to do a set of step with the alarm disarm process which went something like this - Disarm the bike, turn the ignition on(but dont start the bike, press the arming button on the key for and hold it for a few seconds till it flashes, repeat another 2 times (3 in total), turn the ignition off, turn the ignition back on and start her up, hey presto your revs should be back to normal once warm.....

Hope that helps.

Cheers Lads for the replies, it does have a datatool alarm fitted, so I will try those suggestions!
thank you andy.

This is the wire that is known to cause the problems when they cut into it, it is located in the main loom behind the R/H side panel.
It will have been cut into and 2 black wires will be connected into the circuit.
