OK I took your advice and got and Optimate 4 charger.

I can't be arsed to read the instructions, so can someone please tell me if I am ok to plug this in and leave it on all winter and when I come back to it in spring my battery will be ready to go.

CAN I TURN IT ON AND FORGET ABOUT IT!!!!!:thumbup

I would periodically check it as mine shuts down if the power supply fails to my shed.

But then again, who the hell can stay away from their bike for more than a week??

I can't. LOL

The answer is as above, so long as the power isn't cut to the Optimate, it can be left to it's own devices over the winter....Plus it can be checked at a glance....2 green lights showing & all's well!
