Bike in for major service today..Whoo hoo my back brake works:doug..Now taking bets how long before it stops..
Nearly spat my coffee out when the dealer said the rear pads were half worn, that back brakes only worked for maybe 2 months out of 2 years.:biggrin

Mine is 4 years old with a brand new set of original pads on the rear. I think they must have touched the discs for a maximum of 20 mins.

Where did you take it Mark ? mines in at AMR racing in Leyburn...took it there Saturday and picking it up next Saturday. Having a new chain and rear 44t sprocket fitted too :thumbup

Decided to go back to Jordans (the devil you know) as they're near home and not got a lot of spare time..£350..

they'll wear through even if you dont use them cos they're italian *****

Mmmm..Think you've got a rogue one..Would be interesting to find out its history..
As I said, Japs not always the most reliable.I think their obsession with light weight is beginning to make them fragile.
Yes their electrics are generally bullet proof, but R1's are notorious for gearbox problems and Kawasakis seem to age very fast..Every Kwak I've owned has caused problems..GPZ 750 starter clutch (where have I heard of that problem) GPZ550 starting problems, which were electrical..ZX9 which blew its head gasket..

Suzuki blew the reg/rectifier..

Honda.ZZZZZZZZ Oh sorry yes usually the best built.
