HELP!
I have just sold my Ducati 900SS to buy a 2004 RSV Mille, I am collecting it at the weekend so I thought I had better get insurance, but, it has gone from £85 for Duke to £288 for the Aprilia!
Any ideas of a good (cheaper) insurance company?

Cheers
Andrew

thebikeinsurer.co.uk or .com can;t remember which.

After paying 400 for mine 02 rsvr i got it down to 289. how annoyed was i?

give ti a try mate. you won;t regret it

I used Bennetts this time, Quoted £77.00 TPFT and £138.00 F/Comp

Mind you i am old :biggrin

or think your lucky you don't have to pay

:- £796 third party fire & theft
:- £4765 fully comp
:- £1497 third party only

Bennets wanted to charge me £500 fully comp for a RSVR Factory with full Acro system. Adrian flux charged £252, give them a bell.

Dont forget that insurance is also rated on your postcode, if ya live in high crime areas its loaded to offset the risk, live in a sleepy village where the worst that happens is a cat ***** in ya yard then its far less of a risk so not loaded :thumbup

go to quidco, (after signing up and paying a fiver) search there affiliated 'sponsors' I used E-bike insurance, follow link. I paid about £120 TPFT on a 02 RSV (32yrs 9 yr NCB!) and a few weeks later got £30 cash back straight into bank! quidco has many other discount uses (ebay / insurances / gas / elec, etc) works for me...

aquote.co.uk £130 fully comp, protected no claims and legal cover included. 8yrs no claims and i live in the North East, all you people who winge about datatool alarms its worth it for the discount!!

Hello to all,
I've finally just got my RSV, Got the 04 Factory model. My shock today whilst swapping my insurance from my previous 99 Blade was that my premium had doubled! How did they figure that? 12 years NCB too. And to add insult they charged me 25 quid for the pleasure.
Oh well, well worth it!

Just waiting for the pompey comments to start ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

come on u lot ? :thumbup

What again, Been reading on here for a while, and have noticed the amount of abuse you seem to get. Oh well, hopefully its just aimed at you mostly and not pompy in general. We'll see???

No i can tell, I'm guessing to own an RSV you have to have a sense of humour, Had it for 24 hours and that insurance situation has shown me that. BIg grin all the way home yesterday though.
