Old boy saying hello

Welcome mate. Hog and a Mille - life doesn't get much better.
PS. Actually, Pat's quite new here so he doesn't know that the best of all RSVs built is the 01 model, in black. And that's official.

I with pat on the vintage 99 model :biggrin
PS and yea retirement is great :thumbup

Welcome to The Zone fella, There's a whole host of mods that can be done to the RSV.

See Caterpillars reply here

http://www.rsvzone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6512

To start, I would suggest a new YTX14-BS battery, Yamaha starter solenoid and an Optimate 4. Change your gearing to 16/44 or 15/42 from your standard 17/42 and get a decent exhaust end can although from your avatar photo it appears you have a can already . These are excellent mods to start with.

Do a search a search and you'll come up with all the answers on which bits to go for

Hi ya
thanks for your relpy

Ive got the battery sorted and the wiring mod been done.I keep it on the tricycle charger too. Not sure on the gearing :dunno Ive got a well used but decent can might be getting another from one of the other members. And ive just ordered one of Craigs filters kits.Few guys have recommended them and as his a friend seems like the next step.:biggrin

Thanks for your input
Pete

G'Day Greetings :)

Yup like Sprocker the 16/44 gearing change is well worth it , if money is not an issue then you could fit an MPL Clutch slave cylinder and a #40 Oil jet.

or if you are a looney geriatric

A race can, Hooked's air box mod, a Gabro or Dr Rossi chip/power commander and finally a thorough fettle (of the bike not you personally), by Griff (Fusebox)

Hi Kiwi
