Oil?

Hi Guys
Just wanted to know opinions really on which oil you are using in your bikes, I have to do an oil change on mine soon, it'll be the first one since I got it. Normally I've been using the Castrol GPS, but have been looking at the rockoil, plus some others, just wondered which ones you are using and are there any that are better than others?
Also is everyone using semi synthetic or fully synthetic?

Motul semi-synth in mine - It's what the dealer puts in it....

I'm going to use Agip. Aprilia recommended, available from Forza at Silverstone and in the semi-synthetic variety. Aprilia say that fully synthetic can cause problems in the RSV.

silkolene com4 seems a very popular choice with milles.( I change mine every 3k)

do any of you ever need a top up before your 3k oil/filter change?

I do mine at 3k but the service interval is every 4 mate. Depends if you wrag it like me and have a high mileage(like me)

PS-sometimes they use a wee bit of oil but nothing drastic. I check my levels every 5oo miles or so.

cheers for that, I change mine every 3k to, didnt really want to put fully synthetic in, much prefer semi.

My bike has now done just over 2K. I had to put a bit of oil in the other day as the level was closer to Min than Max.

Service intervals on my '07 are 6K but I plan to change the oil/filter every 3K.

Oil?
