Oil pressure 2000 mille

Hi,

Went out for a blast upto settle over the weekend on my way home my oil pressure light started to flicker, so i did the sensible thing and pulled over to check it out. My oil level was fine. cracked her up again the light came on when the bike was ticking over when i reved it slightly it went off again. so i tip toed back home checked the book, either the sensor or the pump.

Started the bike up this morning no light???

Any one else had this problem before

Help!

I had the same problem and it was a leaking oil pressure switch .
Take off the belly pan and see if their is any oil in sprayed about.

I had the same problem and yeah it was down to the Oil pressure switch thanks to spoonz for bailing me out.
be prepared for a long wait for the part from the dealer if it that
good luck chap.
PS oh and you will only see the oil leak when the bikes running. spent about half a day trying to find the leak then just fired it up and then drip, drip drip found it :lol

Stopped off at the local dealers today, managed to get one off the shelf there and then.

Going to fit it tommorow after work . fingers crossed !!

Does it only come on when it gets upto temp?

I think it should only be on before you start the bike. It should never come on whilst the bike is running or when it gets up to temp.

When I bought my bike, the light was on permanently but a new switch sorted it. hopefully will yours too
