Hi, but only because I've taken out the two drain plugs! Two questions if I may, this is a generation 2 model, does the oil tank drain plug have an crush washer or not, there isn't one fitted at the mo and I don't recall one falling off the plug, looking at the Tuono parts list it shows one fitted on the earlier model but not on the later model part list. I take there is no washer for the magnetic drain plug? Just checking before I fill up with some new Putoline oil (semi synth that is). Thanks in advance Dave.

mine had a washer fitted, found it in the old oil after I had finished the oil change

Should have a washer there mate, could just have missed it when taking the plug out

mine didn't have one on and was serviced at AP, but i put one on when i did oil change

Should have a 'use once' Ali crush washer

You can re-use it safely if you aneal it.
Ali goes hard after it's been compressed, so to soften it again:
Rub some soap over it, white is the best colour, but any will do.
Heat it up with a blowtorch until the soap turns black in colour.
Let it cool down slowly.
Job done...your washer is anealed, and good to go again.

Simples...

Hi, thanks for the advice, I filtered the old oil looking for the washer, not lurking in there, right let's look at the drain plug and the ground underneath, well there it is still on the drain plug! Muppet of the week or what! Don't think I should be allowed out on these potent machines, perhaps it time to buy one of those slower V twins from America! Should have the old girl running again when I get home from work. Regards DAvid.
