Oil in airbox - normal?

Excuse my ignorance, is it normal to find a small amount of oil in the airbox?

Yes. Depending on your definition of small though. A very small amount is normal as the engine breather recirculates oil through the airbox, but too much would tend to indicate problems with valve guides or even pistons. That would generally be a lot though.

Some is normal, upto about a tablespoon full.
There are some very high milsge RSV's out there and they dont burn oil.
If theres LOADS of oil in the airbox then the most likely source is that the diaphragm for the crappy slipper clutch has split but youd notice that cos it would smoke like ****.
