If its only a little bit of oil then it's normal.

If the oil level is correct and there is alot of oil then it could be down to riding on one wheel.

I made the same mistake when i first got my mille.

If it's on the max mark when cold, then it's over filled. Take the bike out for a run for 10 minutes park it upright for 10 minutes then check.

It is a good idea to make some oil catch can between the breather and the airbox. :devious
Then it will not allow this small amount of oil to get inside your chambers any more.
This oil helps to create carbon build up inside...
If you take out your TB's you'll probably see inside on your intake valves carbon build up.
If you take out the rear cilinder head cover, you can see how the breather is made. it is just a "hole". It is normal to have some oil on your airbox.
But just as said, take care to not over fill the oil tank.

Absolutely. Just bought one and had the same problem. When hot the oil level was over max. When cold it was inbetween max and min. Took half pint of oil out and after a 10 mile ride there was nothing in the window. Put 1/4 pint back in and everything was good. 150mph blast for 10 mins up the highway and pulled over and the level was dead inbetween. Also no oil in air box.
