oil change

Do most people on this forum change there oil every year? , i have only done 1000 miles since i changed mine 12 months ago. should i change it or not , i am a tight **** and dont want to throw away good oil if i dont have to.

i do mine every 3000 mate so i wouldnt bother, probably more important that you change your brake fluid .... bit of a moist winter weve had!! should be changed every two years!

What about these acids that allegedly build up within the oil when the bike is unused ?
Is this an old wives' tale ?

I only ask as I wasn't going to start mine until the oil was changed ????

I only change my oil every year just before the season starts because I'am paranoid, but it is worth it to spend good money on quality oil though !
Tash has some really good deals on oil, he's your man, Motul 5100 15W50 is the best oil I've found for the Mille, it loves it....

Not too sure on that one V2, I had an old CB250 years ago where I left it standing with the same oil in it for 15 months, from being in Hospital, when I got back to work I took the cover off, dusted down a few things, fitted the new battery and then used it for the next four months solid after that, for commuting and didn't have a single problem.......

thanks for the quick replies , i never even thought about the brake fluid . Not sure i could do that myself ,dont you need a bleeding kit ?
