Didn't know how best to describe my school boy error. Completed an oil and filter change this avo, no problem, nothing exploded, leaked or made funny noises. The problem is I've now realised that I put half a litre of Silkolene 0/40w semi in before filling up with the correct weight of 15/50w, silkolene semi again.
Is this gonna cause me any problems or will such a small amount make no difference?

Do you mean '10/40'? If so, I wouldn't be too worried about it, as long as you're changing it regularly.

Yeah, sorry, 10/40. usually change every 3-4000 miles.

Thanks for the reply mate.

some recommend the 10/40 and according to my limited research the main difference between the two is that the 10/40 is better for colder conditions. Ideal for winter then?

in my knowledge its not going to harm your bike, but if your too worried just change it again...?

Yep, that was my understanding of it too, so a bit of ACF50, break out the thermals and I'm good to go, bring on the wind chill. :pirate
