I have a 2004 RSV 'poverty pack' (not factory) which has had an aftermarket ohlins steering damper fitted.
Got one of these yesterday when giving it some beans.......

so thought it was time to have a fiddle. Can anyone suggest a setting as a good starting point?

Thanks.......

Mines set half way, wound it all the way in then back out counting the clicks to find half way. Never had anything more than the tiniest twitch from it since

Thanks James........am I right in thinking that winding clockwise increases damping?

I assume so, try turning it fully clockwise and test the steering, then count the turns backward and test again and see if it makes a difference to the effort. Mind you if you are going for the half-way setting it doesnt matter which way is which ;)

no more than 5 clicks needed on my bike mate!

a lot of people have issues with the damper been wound up too much!! make the bike weave....

hoe this helps#?

griffer

Do you recommend getting one for a 2000 model as they dont come fitted as standard :dunno

Maybe i should ride it harder, i've never had a speed wobble :laugh

Is that clicks out from fully in or clicks in from fully out...???
