after a long wait my new ohlins steering damper finally arrived on friday. Put it on on saturday and went for a blast. WOW, what a difference. I was pleasently suprised at how much more stable the bike is in the twisties, especially on fast directional changes. Running on 8 clicks in ( 20 in all ) feels just right for the roads, seems to have elliminated the slight "weaviness" it had with the stock unit. Cant recommend it enough.
unit ref is .....SD133
not cheap ( £300 ) but ace peice of kit...

Nice one Dave. I have a Hyperpro RSC damper on mine, and like you say, it definately adds confidence compared to the stock Sachs damper (which ain't that bad to be fair).

your right there gilo, its made much more of a difference than i thought it would. The sachs one i took off was crap, almost no resistance and sounding a bit squelchy when you push the rod in and out. Maybe it was a duff un ??

Possibly. Mine wasn't that bad at all, but the Hyperpro gives noticeably more confidence cornering on bumpy stuff*

* British roads.
