I've owned a few bikes with dampers, a couple with Ohlins and can't say i've ever appreciated a major difference compared to the stock one.

I've got the option of one this afternoon when i see a bloke for the P34 calipers.

So i've got the choice between a trackday or a damper... Hmmmmm

Honestly - can't say I noticed a difference. I replaced mine on the Tuoldo because I bent the Sachs steering damper when I had an off.

Once I checked on price the Ohlins unit was an obvious choice, and I kept it when I changed bike - better badge.

On the plus side the ohlins is adjustable.

Biggest change would be a rear shock.

none about at the moment within a reasonable price bracket. Patience isn't my strong point.

No - price of bits from breakers on Ebay has gone stupid lately. I saw an Ohlins unit from an RSV for £430 or so last time I was looking, you can get one new for that sort of money.
