I've notice my oberon slave cylinder is leaking from where the two surface e mate together. Anyone else find this? What are my options? Remove and clean up the surfaces and refit or should I use a gasket of some sort?

What two surfaces? The actual slave cylinder and the aluminium spacer? Or spacer and the engine housing? . Also note that this should all be a sealed unit. So it its leaking check its not clutch fluid as the actual piston seal may have gone. I'd take it apart and check..... This is of course that it's not the filler nipple leaking and running down outside of the cylinder housing.

I cant find any trace of fluid from the bleed nipple so i presumed it was fluid leaking from the main body but now you mention it I'm wondering if fluid / piston would pass between the point where the slave cylinder attaches to the engine casing? I do have my lever set on the longest reach so there is more chance of this occurring. Like you say I reckon I'm best whipping the cylinder off for closer inspection. I still have the original if required and think the oberon units Come with a long warranty.

Update - slave cylinder has been removed and looks as though fluid is leaking past the seal. The unit is on its way back to oberon for a warranty claim.

Oberon have completed pressure tests on my slave cylinder and can confirm there is no leak present. Could this point to a leak from where the rod enters the engine?

Is the level in the clutch reservoir falling with the leak, if not then you ain't losing clutch fluid

I thought it had dipped ever so slightly in line with the drops I'd noticed from the slave area. I ran the engine up to temp and could see a film of oil around the push rod seal. New seal ordered and push rod removed in preparation. Slave has been returned from oberon and given clean bill of health. Fingers crossed the seal is the culprit!
