three springs ago i traded my last harley product (buell xb12r `07) and got my first italian . not a hitch ! other than non-existant extras . well `less the price of items you do find are reasonable . not . so , where does a guy get affordable after market exhaust . on my budget akropovic is not "affordable" . :banghead

2nd childhood . don`t know how to put them in the computer let alone ship them off to some exotic local . its the 2010 red white gold and black 1000R . love all the carbon fibre . my daughter says it is "not me" . it isn`t black . could change that with a cheap spray can . not ! after i get through all this legal crap with mystupid former employer , hope to track it regular .

brooksy , don`t confuse inexpensive with cheap . i won`t put junk on just to get rid of oem . so , i can not afford akropovik cause they are out of my price range . best i`ve found for just the slip ons is $2399 . for just a paltry $1000 more i can get the whole system . maybe when my ship comes in ? yeah , if i ever hit the lottery she`ll get all the best . to include the ridiculously priced tank bag and under skirt . what a great ride . looks great , sounds great (even if it ,the sound , is behind me) and it ain`t no slouch . my best ridin` buddy always has a firebreathin` monster and he can no longer just blast off and leave me . his last bike was a bandit 1250 . and , he just had to have a power commander put on it . i think it did actually do 200 mph one afternoon . now he has a new kawii , a ninja 1000 . not the bend-over one the sport tourer . haven`t chased him on it yet . better get it done though he`s talkin` more bhp and a power commander . hes already re-piped and intaked it .

Anyhoo there's nae need tae spend stupid money on cans fir yer machine but yer do want to dump the stock ones unless the cats have been removed.

Loads of info on here, jist search fir it and if yer get stuck jist ask and am sure some Fud will give yer whitever info yer need.

Sounds like you have the Factory model,...not the 'R'.

aldo , what the F is a muker ? `member now , all you britts have a slang , and us "yanks" don`t quite get all that . eh ? not sure i`am a true technophobe as i don`t care . honestly wanted to get planted without even knowin` how to turn this machine on , let alone learn all it can do .
my tech tells me that i also have to have some re-do for the electrics and intake also . sounds to to be "cost prohibative" . course for a couple more BHP! we`ll see . i have to hit the lotto to have enough $ for such a project . or , win the lawsuite against my former employer .
