Not turned a wheel in 3 years

Hi there I have a 03 rsvr that's has not turned a wheel in 3 years..not even turned over..has been in shed . I'm going to get it back on the road soon but I think I remember someone saying something about going into some factory setting when left for long time.anyone know the key turn on and off thing I might have to do..cheers.

Not on a gen1 I'm sure if that's what it is

Drain the tank use fresh fuel and maybe a spray of easy start with a brand new battery

Will do, have new battery,oil & filter and might change the plugs and fingers crossed it will fire up..

I'd take the plug caps off and turn it over on the starter motor for a bit.
Get new oil circulating before it suddenly bursts into thousands of RPM.

Never thought of that good idea cheers...it needs new tyres but can't make my mind up..I have a bandit 650 for work and will put anything on if price is right but I'm more fussy what goes on the aprilia...

bloody good idea..i'm just going to unplug the ecu I think ..hopefully it still turns over

tyres are a personal thing but great all rounders pilot road 3 or 4 and m7rr sticky enough and good in the wet
