Not "gelling" with my twin?

after a couple of months of twin riding and experiencing the instant grunt and throaty sound, I have to say that I am probably more of a 4 cylinder man at heart.

I was parking up yesterday by the canal when a zx10r went by, going through 2nd 3rd and 4th at speed, and the howl of a the 4 pot at full chat just gave me goose bumps!

So my 02 RSV 1000 is going to be up for grabs shortly. Its got 23k miles a fresh MOT, recent tires and no history. I had it on the dyno yesterday where it registered 109hp with a nice regular torque curve (dyno vid available)
I paid £1600 for it back in May and would like to recoup as much of that as possible.

The bike as far as I can tell is sound, the only advisories were a ding in the swingarm and tank fouling the accelarator cable (this has been cleared now) As such, I am not in a rush to sell.

I will consider swapps for any post 2000 litre sports bikes, or GSXR750, cash either way.

IF its still with me in september, it will be treated to a ring trip.

:)

You don't say where abouts you are

Hello Mate, I am in in Warwick.

To be fair to the bike, I love the way it feel entering a corner, and the twin is very well suited to real world riding. You basically get to use more , if not all of the engine's potential, when a 4 takes a lot more winding and is harder to push to its limits.

The thing is though, I love the outright power of inline 4's, and that never ending howl.

I'd keep the Mille if I didnt need the cash though, and the one thing I really do love about the engine characteristic is that B road overtakes can normally just be done using the torque without changing down.

Fair enough dude, At least you know why ya like!

I'm only in tamworth! see you around sometime!
