Hi folks i have a problem.I ran out of fuel and after filling up she wont fire.Checked the fuses all fine, tried a new battery fully charged spins over great but still no firing.Just lifted the tank and the only electrical noise i can hear when turning the ignition on appears to coming from under the airbox?I assume the pump is the unit attached to the underside of the tank but this is silent. Its an 03 factory and after a week of charging batteries and cleaning all the connections i can get to its finally done my head in!Cheers for any feedback.

it may be some crap got sucked in when empty and blocked the pump?

can you smell petrol from the exhaust or pull a plug to see if there dry from fuel starvation?

you need to find out if the cyls are getting fuel before looking deeper .

it may be worth draining the tank to half and giving it a good shake on its rear hinge to see if that dislodges any muck.

Managed to get a plug out and its bone dry so no fuel getting through.Taken one the pipes off the bottom of the tank and fuel flowing ok from there so must be further on.Deff a pain this one.

the pipe you need to see flow from is the pressure one at the tb's so slacken off the 17mm banjo a turn and then switch on fuel should come out.

or better still remove the pipe at the tb's (throttle bodies) and stick the end in a fuel can and see if it will clear any blockage

Done as suggested and renoved pipe to throttle bodies and no fuel came out, followed said pipe to underneath tank and slackened off there too still no fuel.Ive now removed the plate underneath the tank and a whole assembly came out of the tank.Is this the fuel pump or if not what is it?Still no luck in fact worse now than before as bike now all over the garage.
