Not Again !!!!!!

3rd stator has now gone again !!!

Bike is a 56 plate RSVR and have owned from new, but in this time it,s had

3 stators inc original and 2 rewinds .. Now looking for a forth
1 new wiring loom (600 miles from new, took dealer 5months get get hold of one)
2 Rectifiers inc original
2 Batteries in Orginal
1 Tank Resparay , Aprilia refused the claim but the dealer paid for it as a gesture of good will.
2 fuel pumps inc orginal, original failed after 3000 miles
Clutch Gaskit Failed after 900 miles

Just looked on fleebay for stator but none for 06 that i can see..

Electrex Stator £120 ish inc postage
Webmoto Same Price
Rewind by West Countrt Windings £126 ( Rewind)
Elliott Motorcycles £120 (Rewind)

christ thats unlucky, was yours made ona friday afternoon?
Never in 75k miles did i have stator probs, fuel pump, tps and cps but not much else

get a second-hand pegaso or bmw f650 stator. it's the same but way cheaper. i have a pegaso one on the street mille for two years and 38.000 kms now. never had a problem with it. the original one didn't pack up either but a bolt from the flywheel sheared off and blown it to bits. wiring mods done ofcourse.

good to know as just put my 3rd stator in

what year bike is yours ....as pre 04 bikes don't have stator probs apparently

Did you go for a Rewind or Electrex Unit ?

was an early electrix one .... before they changed to the thicker wires I think .... it lasted 5000 miles :s

I have a stator from a 1500 mile 07 Tuono you can have for ￡85 delivered, let me know if you want it.
