Disconnect neg lead from batt for 30 secs and then re connect and try again. Just a hunch

Hi spoonz my dealer (non Aprilia) has tried what you suggest but it hasn't worked! just waiting for them to now contact an Aprillia dealer to see if they can sort it! what a pain! don't want another weekend with out my bike!

Ask them to check the white connector next to the immobiliser ecu on the left inner fairing. If they get corroded the Can line goes a bit mad.

Kinda reminds me on an immobilser issue, get the dealer to take it off and check for cracks in the resin at the bottom of the casing, if it is split there will be water ingress and probably dry solder joints.

Worth a look:thumbup

Up date! got my bike back this afternoon! all ok Looks like you were right after all spoonz! They got some advice from an ex aprilia mechanic who got them to disconect the battery then switch the left hand indicator on, reconect the battery turn the bike back on, turn the left hand indicator off switch the bike off and then back on! this cleared the fault! The fault was with the Can line. seems a bizzare procedure but it worked!!

Another update! Got the bike back and it packed up again same fault but I was riding at the time!! nearly caused me to come off, told the dealer to get it sorted properly or I wanted my money back amazing how that managed to get them to focus on the problem! It took them 3 days last time this time it was 3 hours! Spoonz you were bang on the money mate it was corrosion in the white conector! Had a good blast out to day and its fine!

if only i could get my lottery numbers right too.

Glad it's sorted, just in time for some decent weather.
