Apparently Noriyuka Haga has made the leap back to Aprilia!! Nori will be riding for the Prata Aprilia team. BOOYAH!!!! I am SO looking forward to Nori whuppin' butt on his RSV4, next tae Max and Leon! Yes, I am a geek Aprilia fan that wears an Aprilia hoodie. And I am going to continue to do so. In fact, I am going to be ordering an Aprilia Racing T-shirt just to be even more geekazoid whilst sitting and watching the races! Who's with me?

Dammit. That news was from the WSBK interwebsite, yet when I went to look up info on the Aprilia Racing site, they tag Jakub Smrz as the sole rider for the Pata B&G Aprilia team this 2011 season. Can anyone verify with unimpeachable sources what the skinny is? Not to diss Mr. Smrz, but I'd really rather see Nori in the saddle.

Never been a big Haga fan Shovl so I'm not bothered. Rather see a younger lad given a chance.

Dont panic Shovely old boy,The Hagalout is indeed riding for the Czech Pata Aprillia team for 2011.Jakob Smrz and Sylvain Guintoli have signed for the new Czech Liberty Racing team on Doocardies.
I'm with Nob on this one, yeah Haga was an exciting rider to watch in his younger days, but way too inconsistant to be a world champ. These days he has odd flashes of brilliance but most of the time an also ran.

As an old guy that remembers Nori on an Aprilia, I have to cheer for him. He's getting a little long in the tooth and I have to empathize with his semi Geri status with all the young bloods snapping at his heels. And nobbie, he's been consistent enough to be racing at a world class level for many years. Better than you and I, mate. And he's got a great helmet!! :biggrin

He's had some of the best bikes and blown it, time after time. Great, exciting rider but not one of THE greatest and not THE most exciting. Just my 2p worth.

Troy Bayliss... a great hero of mine. SBK was his forte. Nori is a working sod. Kinda like Colin, another favourite of mine. Stellar in certain settings (SBK), competent in others (MotoGP). Works hard, gets the job done. A journeyman... kinda like you and me. And also a helluva nice guy.

i dont think anyone can deny that hagasan did the bizzle when riding for aprilia first time out, but again? ...... the nostaligia freaks like me would love to see that!!

you never know guys nori might be able to do it , tbh , id pretty much written off biaggi two years ago!

Never been a huge Max fan either... Apparently he's learned some people skills and learned a little humility after getting bounced from GP after being such a whiny ***** ***... I'll be rooting for Camier and Nori...
