noise when warming up

I was wondering if anyone has had this same trouble.
A few weeks ago i replaced the stator on my 04 rsvfactory. I used one from ricks motorsports. 140$ shipped. A couple days after this was done I began to notice a squealing noise coming from the left side f the engine. its sounds like a rubbing /vibrating sound. You can hear it on and off for a minute and when it gets warm enough it goes away almost completely. I took the stator cover off last night thinking there may have been something that came loose but it all looks ok. I am thinking that the sprag clutch is on its way out but i have not had any trouble starting the bike. Its just that damn squealing.
Thanks

did you use a proper Aprilia gasket when you re fitted the flywheel cover and thread lock the flywheel back on etc.

The clearance between the flywheel and cover is a fraction and if you use instant gasket or similar it can touch the cover.
It is also vital to use the threadlock on the shaft.

Had one recently who didn't and the flywheel came loose and snapped the woodruff key wrecking the crankshaft keyway in the process. The first warning he had was some squeeling as the flywheel touched the case before all hell broke loose. Luckily the shop (yes a shop, scary) have paid the cost for it to be put right.

I reused the gasket old gasket but i never took the flywheel off. I toqued all the bolts the same. Rubbing flywheel?.... you may be on to something. I am off to remove the cover again.
