Noise from RSV Mille

New to this site and RSVs so Hello!

If anyone could help me it would be great, I might just be being paranoid here but since changing from my Mircon can back to a standard can I get a cracking type noise when blipping the throttle hard (this might have always been there and they all might do this, I dont know). Ive taken the airbox top off and when cracking the throttle it just sounds like massive induction noise.

If anyone can tell me if they all do this or if I have a problem?

Thanks in advance

If you are cracking the throttle hard and quickly it will be unburnt fuel igniting within the exhaust, quite common and nothing to worry about, if you go to the rear you might see a small flame comes out the exhaust as well

Thanks thats a great help, I guess the situation is exagerated by the fact the more restrictive OE can is on.

Putting a thin layer of silicon inside of the pipe joints will quiet that issue. The leaking joints allow air to mix with the unburnt fuel and it ignites making that sound.

Yep exactly like that, that Sabre guess im just getting used to the quirks of V-twins.

Thanks Dan i think thats good advice, because when my exhaust gets muc off cleaner in the joint it burns it through.

Thanks.
