Changing clutch pressure plate this pm and snapped a stud off in clutch basket :eek, :jack. So mad at myself :rant. Next step to take basket out to get stud out, cant get the main 32mm nut off. any ideas?:confused
2nd time i have threatened the bike with matches.
not good times for me and the millle.

Was chatting to a couple of lads in the pub and they said windy gun, i have a compresser so not a problem, do you think it will damage anything, tempted to leave bike to the pros.

They would probably use a windy gun on it as soon as you were out of the shop anyway mate. Then tell you they used a specialist tool:biggrin

I would inclined to get professional help at this stage. The clutch running ok, is pretty fundamental.:thumbup

It may be that now you have brand new clutch plates in that the clutch needs bleeding. Possibly it was opening enough for the old plates to disengage but not enough for new plates to disengage fully, assuming it all went back together correctly of course.

went back the way i took it out so am confident its back together ok, am going to bleed the clutch incase it has taken in air while it was in bits. Fun and games.

Ok so bled the clutch :thumbup, goes into gear better but is creeping forward with clutch fully in :confused, is also nearly impossible to get into neutral with bike running. matches please!!

That sounds like a standard Mille clutch.
