Bad luck for Nicky Hayden. The American Honda rider landed heavily from a jump during the X Games in Los Angeles. He damaged his heel. “The injury is to a weight-bearing part of the food and the doctors say that using too much pressure on the foot pegs could very easily give me some big problem,”says Nicky. Nicky insists he had the blessing from the HRC team to compete in the X Games and do the Supermoto event, riding a Honda CRF 450 Supermoto.

Nicky will miss the MotoGP race of Brno and the two-day test session. With 84 points, Nicky Hayden is holding the 8th position in the championship. James Toseland is 9th with 72 points.

Nicky Hayden might be going down hill

He came over to MOTO Gp a few years ago, going from the V-Twin RC51 to the inline 4 (trader)...not doing so well except for the 2006 season where padrosa helped keep off the other riders for him, i love the kentucky kid but his actions on teh track are going down hill.

i saw him at the MOTO GP Sachsenring in Germany and he didn't due well at all, it seems he is trying to get out of Honda and go to the Vtwin Duc department..... where is he better on Twin than a inline 4

The Honda MotoGP Hayden started on in '03 was a V5, the 800cc is a V4. The Ducati MotGP bike is a V4 fired like a twin :laugh

got me on the details, i was just saying that Hayden rides better when the bike is more powerful than the rest of the crowd likes. he has that rear tire slide that he uses so well in the corners.
