Hi guys

just picked up my 2001 R as a divorce present to myself :burnout

not had much chance to ride it yet whilst sorting some insurance horrors, but spent many happy hours polishing the drool off.

cant believe these things are so, cheap, mines got 5000miles on and the only fault was a single rusty bolt in the rear caliper.

Its pretty standard save for a puig db screen and Akra pipe, anyway see you later im going to skive off work now whilst the suns out

Welcome to the zone matey & enjoy that RSV.
Glad to hear you did the right thing and treat yerself to that RSV...a bloody wise choice in my books. Bang up some photos when you have the chance mate..we all like to drool too. :thumbup

That's funny, "divorce present". My wife told me if I bought one, she'd pack her bags and leave. I went out the very next day and picked it up. That was 2 days ago. She's still hanging around though.

Which is strangely a little like our beloved RSV's, ride of your life one day, refusal to so much as turn over the next :laugh

Welcome Kaiser, a good choice made squire. Have fun :thumbup

i must be one of the lucky ones - my missus loves the bike, doesn't mind all the time i spend in the shed and out on her....
but then again, i look after business properly when i'm home lol

Welcome mate. Have fun on the new bike. Lots of friendly, helpful folk on here.:thumbup

I like your style mate. Can't match buying a new bike after I myself ditched the old bike :devious but I did nip out for a hoon around with the view to popping in the local dealers and buying a rucksack for commuting. Said feck it and bought some new Dainese leathers as well :biggrin

Piccies of your new ride incoming I take it, and welcome

cheers guys

thanks for the greetings guys, I will try and get a pic of my new babe this weekend before i start changing it, will have to use my mobile though as the old bag took off with the digi camera as well as most other things.

Might be a riot of colour though, as it shares the backyard with my newly (almost) resurrected lime green zxr750h2 and my mates flame painted R1 as well as my dead zx9r spread around the floor.

have been having a good nosey round and think my stainless caphead perversion might be evolving into a carbon fetish as well :)

I get out and about to matlock, cat & fiddle, rivington kirby lonsdale and hawes on a regular basis, so i hope to see a few of your about. Might be with my really **** bike gang 5 idiots with 11 bikes (3 working) lol

nice bike, remember you will never find a women that you can ride at 11 thousand revs.
Only down the rd so will see you around
Cheers Wilky
