Hello:) well im considering getting a prila tuono r wondered weather there are that much better than the standard? i see a few deals on 10plate models but standard ones.... only riden standard one bloody loved it mind! i dont particulayy ride balls out, but i spose im medium paced:eek: would be a big thing if i get one as it would mean letting my SD go....but im bloody tempted:D thanks any advice twisted or not welcome evlin (anne)

get it u will love it..i have a 2007 aprilia tuono r , its great fun !
balls to yer SD , u will never look back lol

edit..oh and welcome

Welcome Evlin, yep go for it, you know you want to, definatley more fun than my old speed triple i had b4, love it .

Forewarned is forearmed. If you buy the T, you just miiiiiiight start riding a tad more jauntily. Unfortunately the Tuono ha a tendency to whisper naughty things in your ear whilst riding. The next thing you know yer spankin' it down your favourite twisty at twice the peed you used to ride...

So, give 'er. You'll have a great time. And pay no attention to the socially ******** here. They mean well, and we try to treat them gently.

:D

Thanks for welcome! im gunna try and get to thunder road tommorow and have a look at this tuono, now another qustion it would need some ackkys as them standard cans look like rocket launchers doh! where would yo get them from?? im thinking thats on top of price of bike . Shovelheed hello i kinda do ride ktm pretty fast for me lol its a bloody mental bike really , it handles superbly, done 29000 on it, but i need another bike now has to be v-twin filth lol i tried that SF was ok but i prefered ktm....now lets hope this tuono factory does the trick. as i said rode my mates standard tuono....very nice handled great i like sharp handling not nasty heavy barges , reckon it was bit quicker than ktm too bloody smoother ! that things savage at times, snag is all these bikes are coolio theses days very hard to choose really. im just gunna go n clean up SD ready for bloke at shop to offer me 30quid lol thing is high millage bikes are hard to sell...shame really

forgot to ask, will it need remapping with new cans? **** im gassing on

dont factories come with some sort of racing cans as standard ?
im sure one of the boys with a factory will know more ....

Akkie Aprilia Racing cans on the Factory I thought. Map II for the aftermarket cans if you go that route. No need for aftermarket electronics. I was totally smitten with the Akkie hex caps. Then one of the a-holes here put some Arrows on and posted some pics. Now I'm waffling... and the Arrows are muy less expensive.

I've got the same mileage on my T. Decided **** trading it in. Tracking it and making it my hoolie bike. Looking for a Black Dream to park beside her.

Bugger lost my repli some how doh start again, so the factory race cans look like standard ones? massive lol spose i will see sunday when i see it.
this is all it says on shop adver Description:
The almighty Tuono Factory loaded with race tech parts and carbon fibre, 139 bhp edition finished in red. shame its not black not keen on those gay looking coulors , but if its good i will not look at it while riding ...she cried lol

Red is good. I'd buy the red and white Factory in a heart beat.
Are you going to be fun riding? Going to the track? Commuting? Travelling? The T does make an awesome all rounder.

welcome evlin, My advise would be try the Ktm Trumph Yammie FZ1 and the other japs, as I did when moving up from my Tuoldo gen 1. Then buy the T, buy the highest spec you can afford Factory if possible as the Ohlins are some special kit for B & A road blasts.

They all get the same cans R and F unless thier's a dealer or Ape promotion on. The last lot should have the brushed ali ones with a cone on the tip.

Nobs,
You still up for a trip to Quill. Looking like into the new year.

Overseas for crimbo and new year, let us know and I'll go with you if I'm here. They sometimes have some nice old stuff there. Jim, the owner is a bit of a resto wiz.

welcone Evlin

Hello Evlin and welcome.

I've all manner of bikes but the Tuono r (had since June) is by far the most immersive and engaging bike I've had ... better than the TLR100R I had before it and wayyyy more fun than buzzy Jap 4-pots.

Standard cans have to go in place of Aks or Pipewerx, Map2, and off you go.

newelly, yep i not a fan of inline 4s...and i agree new cans are needed. leslie, i have got a ktm SD and a 1050 triple....fz1 not really my fing, really fancey a change so ktms gunna go if tuono is the kiddy!!!
