Just thought I'd say hallo and introduce myself. I am about to take ownership of a pristine 2007 RSVR and I am looking forward to riding my first V-twin after many years of Jap IL4s (still got my ZX9R which I must get round to selling). I've been biking for 24 years now, and for the last 15 years have been on the annual pilgrimage to Le Mans for the 24H Du Moto. This years trip has been modified slightly in that we are going to the MotoGP instead because Le mans 24h has been swapped with the Bol D'Or and is now in September.

Anyway, looking forward to reading the posts here, and to chatting to you people.

Welcome Vole,

I recently left my long line of GSX-R's and moved to the wonderful world of V-twin. If yours is anything like mine (baring electrical gremlins lol) you'll love it!!

I've got the 2006 R although the person who bought it new had virtually every factory extra put on it (not complaining

)

Welcome, mate!

Only "top tip" is, when changing down, be careful with the clutch as big pistons + compression + sudden clutch + high revs = locked rear.

I used to, before the kids arrived. I did the whole lot, commuting, bike meets, races. Now it's just the Le Mans once a year
