well had the mille bout 6 weeks now, didn't have the best of starts with it for various reasons, I'd been off the bikes for about 9 months after I sold my gixer, then my mate was killed two days after buying the mille followed by clutch problems a week later, anyway after a tricky start getting used to the much higher seat, I'm six foot and still found it high compared to my gsxr and getting used to the power delivery and differences in gearing I've got to say that it's all started to come together and make sense.

Took a little while to get used to getting the correct gear for some slower corners, some of the tighter stuff seems to slow for second and too fast for first, am thinking first might be too tall, any ideas on sprocket changes would be appreciated, other than that the bike is brilliant, love the grunt and the torque.

Took it to Anglesey week last friday to see what it could do on track but it lashed down all day so looking at Oulton, Donington or back to Anglesey over the next month or so.

Only real changes I want to make are pazzo short levers and will probably be going onto 2ct's, It's got corsa 3's on at the moment which I'm not that impressed with.

Took it up the cat and fiddle yesterday, bright sunshine, not too much traffic, and the wail of twin akro's what more could you ask for:thumbup

16 front 44 rear seems to be the most popular about

Thats for the older models mate, i think the newer shaped ones are different gearing but i will let the posh model owners tell you what it is :biggrin

Sorry to hear about your mate hydey :(

Thanks Sprocker, very familiar story he failed to negotiate a left hand bend and hit a car head on, happened just North of Glasgow near Bearsden on a country road, lost two good mates in two years but we all know the risks.

15/42 seems to be favourite on the road for newer model bike.:thumbup

Sorry for the hijack, can anyone tell me is changing the sprox will effect the speedo or does it take the reading from elsewhere? Sorry again :)

Speedo picks up off the brake disc bolt heads so a different sprocket does not affect it :thumbup
